FAQ

The office is located at Parnassusweg 103, just minutes from Station Zuid. As I operate a webshop primarily, I do not have regular pickup hours. Please email me at info@mangroveboekhandel.nl to schedule a pickup time. I also have a second pickup location in Bos en Lommer.

We do accept donations, but please email us at info@mangroveboekhandel.nl to confirm the donation location and time beforehand.

Consumers have power, whether we believe it or not. By choosing secondhand over new, you're caring for a product that has already been created instead of increasing demand for production.

I try to save every book I'm given, and so I sell books in four different condition categories. The worse the condition the book is in, the lower the cost. Here's a brief explanation of the four categories:

As new: Book looks brand new. There may be a name on the flyleaf or a couple scratches on the cover, but nothing more.

Good: The book has some wear (such as reading lines or slightly crinkled pages or cover), but there are no major flaws. There may be a name or note on the flyleaf.

Reasonable: The book has much more noticeable wear. It may be discolored and annotated, and it could have noticeable flaws like a crooked spine, large folds, or slight moisture damage. I document major flaws in the book condition note.

Moderate: The book is significantly worn, discolored, or damaged, but it can still be used. This condition is suitable only if you care about the content of the book and not the aesthetics.
